Operator Training with Powered Access Equipment

Braddan Plant Hire delivers IPAF 3a (Mobile Vertical) and 3b (Mobile Boom) training, the two core machine categories required on most construction, industrial and FM sites. Each course includes classroom theory, practical hands on assessments and the issue of an IPAF PAL Card valid for five years on successful completion.

Alongside 3a and 3b, we also provide additional IPAF categories including 1b (Static Boom) and PAV (Push Around Vertical), as well as tailored combined packages for delegates who need multiple machine types for their role or site requirements.

Yes. Braddan Plant Hire offers IPAF Harness Use and Inspection Training for operators, supervisors and managers who need to select, fit and inspect a MEWP safety harness correctly before working at height.

Yes. Combined operator courses such as 1b + 3a + 3b are available for delegates who need several categories in a single session. We also offer IPAF MEWPs for Managers, designed for those who plan, supervise or manage MEWP operations and need a clear understanding of safe systems of work and site responsibilities.
