IPAF Operator Training teaches delegates how to prepare, operate and shut down Mobile Elevating Work Platforms safely. Courses cover the core MEWP categories including static vertical (1a), static boom (1b), mobile vertical (3a), mobile boom (3b), PAV and specialist platforms. Training focuses on safe operation, hazard awareness, emergency procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment.

What Is IPAF Demonstrator Training?

IPAF Demonstrator Training teaches delegates how to familiarise MEWP operators with their responsibilities before using equipment on site. The course covers pre-operational checks, safe operating procedures, understanding machine limitations and demonstrating correct emergency actions.

A trained Demonstrator ensures operators are briefed correctly before using scissor lifts, boom lifts, PAVs or specialist access platforms. This improves site safety, reinforces competence and reduces the risk of incorrect use. Delegates who pass their assessments receive an IPAF PAL Card for the Demonstrator category.
